A treasured family pony affectionately known as "Chicken Nugget" was shot and killed

A treasured family pony affectionately known as "Chicken Nugget" was shot and killed sometime during the night of Tuesday, November 7th. or the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 8th. on the family ranch on Private Road 2045 in Liberty County. The families small pet was found deceased in the pasture from a gunshot to the head at about 10:30am in the morning. The Liberty County Sheriff's Office at (936) 336-4500 is conducting the investigation and is seeking information from anyone who may have any knowledge as to who may be responsible for the death of this small pony. 

The Multi-County Crime Stoppers organization consisting of Montgomery, Liberty and San Jacinto Counties are offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the killing of this family pet. Anyone having such information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392 STOP (7867). The identity of any person calling in a "tip" will remain anonymous. ( END )
