Drug Arrest in Knight’s Forest

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Criminal Interdiction Unit continues to make impressive strides in taking drugs off our county streets and roads and arresting those who would distribute these drugs to not only the adults but the youth in the county.

On Thursday, October 5th, Sheriff Bobby Rader said that deputies with that drug repression unit were working the Knight’s Forest area at approximately 8:30pm when the deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black passenger vehicle.

When the deputies approached the vehicle they detected a strong odor of burnt Marijuana and at that point detained the driver, Alisha Nicole Williams and a front seat passenger, Travis Wayne Jordan.

As Williams was getting out of the vehicle the deputies saw and recovered a partially smoked Marijuana filled cigar that she had been sitting on. A further search of the vehicle turned up an assortment of narcotics from William’s purse as well as   other illegal narcotics, found in the car, consisting of Ecstasy, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Marijuana and various pain pills all, of which, were packaged for resale.

When the arresting Deputies ran a criminal history check on Jordan it was found he had two outstanding warrants.

Williams was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty group 1 which is a third degree felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty group 2 also a third degree felony and another charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance which is a Penalty group 1 and is a State Jail Felony.
