COMMUNICATIONS / 911
This division is responsible for all incoming emergency and non-emergency calls for service, including 911. They are also responsible for emergency communications with law enforcement, fire and EMS throughout Liberty County. These hard-working men and women are tasked with handling multiple life-threatening emergencies such as fires and natural disasters at one time. All of our emergency communications officers undergo rigorous professional training and are state certified.
When a citizen calls in to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office Communication Center these professionals interact and obtain pertinent information and direct the appropriate law enforcement, fire and EMS units to each call for service. This division is supervised by Sherry Walton and is under the command of Captain David Meyers.
